If you have a large number of categories slowing down your site, or you just simply want to remove the subcategory drop-down menu for aesthetic reasons, this article will show you how.

How to Remove Sub Categories From the Drop-Down Menu
On the left-hand side of your cart, click on Products & Categories.
Then, click on Browse Categories.
In the Browse Categories page, choose the subcategory you wish to disable.
Once you've chosen the subcategory you want to disable, it should take you to that specific subcategory's editor. Click on the checkbox labeled Visible? to remove that subcategory from the menu.
After you've clicked the checkbox, scroll down and click Save.
Once your edits have been saved, a prompt should be displayed as shown below.
To view your changes, click on View Storefront in the top-right corner of your cart.
