QR codes are the new barcode-like images that began showing up a few years ago. QR codes allow smartphones to snap a picture of them and direct the user to a certain website. This article will help you enable and generate QR codes at the product level of your cart. Adding QR codes to your campaigns lets you utilize campaign-based reporting on your QR code conversions.

Enabling QR Codes

  1. From the control panel, click Marketing > QR Codes.
  2. Click the Advanced Settings button and from there, you can activate or deactivate the QR code module. 
  3. Select your default image type, default media, and image size. 
  4. Hit Save to keep your changes.

Adding QR Code Campaigns

  1. From the control panel, click Marketing > QR Codes.
  2. Click the Add QR Campaign button.  
  3. Give a Name and Description for your campaign. These are internal fields that the customers will not see.  
  4. Once done, hit Save to keep your changes.


Creating a QR Code For Products

  1. Go to Products and click one.
  2. Click QR Code at the top right.

    3. In the dialog box that pops up, fill out the following:

QR Code settings

  • Campaign - Choose from the QR Code Campaigns that you created.
  • Product URL Type - You can have the QR code just link to the product page, or can have it link AND add the product to the customer's cart.
  • Image Type - choose whether the image is a PNG, JPG, or GIF format.
  • Media - Choose what Media you are using for the QR code and this will determine the quality of the QR Code image. Custom will allow you to select the Error Correction Level and Pixels per QR Code Dot.


Generating a Single QR Code

You can generate a QR Code that will direct you to any site you'd like.

  1. From the control panel, click Marketing > QR Codes.
  2. Click the Generate QR Code button
  3. Fill out the following fields:
  • URL or Text – The URL that the QR code should send the reader to
  • Default Image Type – Image format you want to use. 
  • Default Media – Size of QR code


From there, hit Generate and a downloadable QR code will be presented to you.
