Weebly is an advanced, intuitive online site building tool. Whether you have an existing Weebly site, or are interested in making one, this article will show you how to integrate your PinnacleCart products with Weebly.
In this article you will learn
Adding a Add to Cart Widget to Your Weebly Site
Setting Up a Weebly Site.
If you don't already have a Weebly site, it's very easy to set one up. You can start with a free 14-day trial and eventually choose from different annual or semi-annual plans.
To begin a trial, go to https://www.weebly.com/ and click Sign Up and the top right.
Add your Full Name, Email Address and Password and click Sign Up.
Next, you will be presented with the option of starting a Trial or a Paid Plan. Make your choice, and you will arrive at a spot where you can select a theme. Make your selection and you will then arrive at the design/administrator screen.
The first thing you'll be asked before beginning your design, is to choose your website domain. You can either create a Weebly subdomain, register a domain with Weebly, or use a domain name you already own.
After you've decided on a domain, click Continue.
Weebly is a drag-and-drop type of site builder, similar to PinnacleCart's Cart Designer. You drag the element from the left toolbox column into the desired location on the template. To add an Add to Cart widget, you'll end up using the Embed Code element. We'll explain how to do this in the next section.
Adding a Add to Cart Widget to Your Weebly Site.
Before you can add your products into Weebly, you'll need to enable Widgets in your PinnacleCart Apps. For a detailed explanation on how to do this, see Creating Product Widgets.
Click Apps > go to App Center > click on Widgets > Enable Widgets.
Now, you will need to edit a product, so you can create a Widget from it. Go to Products > select the product you want to add to your Weebly store > click Widgets on the top right > make your option selections and click Generate.
Highlight all of the HTML code in the Widget Preview dialog box and copy it (ctrl + C on PC).
Now return back to Weebly.
Drag the Embed Code Weebly widget from the left side into an area where you'd like your product to show up.
In the middle of the dropped widget, you should see a small box with 8 dots in it. Click this to bring the HTML dialog. Click Edit Custom HTML.
In the text area, delete out the text and paste in the product Widget HTML you got from your product. Click out of the box to see the HTML take affect. You should now see your product. To make this go live, click Publish at the top left.
