What is a Meta Tag
A Meta Tag is a way for Search Engines to find certain information on your website. They're added in the header of your pages to provide a guide for Search Engines such as Google to index your information on the site, such as products and pages. It also allows you to then later view pages visited, products, times visited to help give you an idea of what kind of traffic your site receives.
How to find the file in the cart and make a copy
1. Login to the admin area of your cart, click Settings > Advanced Settings > File Manager.
2. Navigate to /content/cache/skins/YOUR SKIN NAME/templates/wrappers/elements/element-custom-head.html, and open the file.
3. Highlight and Copy all the contents of that file to a text editor such as notepad.
4. Save the file with the name element-custom-head.html
How to add a Meta Tag
Now that you have the file copied and named correctly in a text pad, in the notepad add the Google Meta Tag as shown below to anywhere in the document.
Save the file.
Where to upload the file
In the file manager, next navigate to /content/skins/_custom/skin/templates/wrappers/elements/, choose the file and Upload it. Next, enter Cart Designer to refresh the cache folder. That's it, you should be good to go.
