The Catalog Settings section allows you to customize how Category and Product pages display, as well as control Product and Category image settings.

How to Edit Catalog Settings


        1. Navigate to the Dashboard of your cart. Path to this area is <DomainName>/login.php Example: pinnaclecart.com/login.php.


        2. Go to Front - End > Catalog Settings on your admin panel.

Catalog Page Settings

        1. Default products sort order

This option will adjust how your catalog is sorted. Options include Best Match (Default), Newest to System, Alphabetical, Product ID, Prices (Highest to Lowest), and Prices (Lowest to Highest).


        2. Display sort drop-down?

This will determine if the catalog will always sort by your selection, or allow customers to choose another sorting option. 


        3. Products per page

Adjust how many products load per page. This number will determine the increments a customer can adjust if the Display items drop-down is enabled (See below).


        4. Display items drop-down?

This will determine if the customer will be able to adjust the number of products listed per page. Note: The number of products loaded per page affects the time it takes for a page to load.


        5. Price Range Filters

This setting affects the options in the cart designer relating to columns. Scroll to the Price Range Filters and enable the option. Ticking the box before Enable Price Range Filters displays the following options:

Home Page Settings

        1. Number of products displayed on the home page

This allows you to alter the number of Products that load on the Home Page by default.


        2. Home page links to

This allows you to redirect your home page to another URL instead of the default index.php?p+home.



Product Page Settings

This allows you to adjust the number of Recommended Products that appear when on the Product Level of your cart. This is a category set on the individual products you want to appear.


        2. Products you may like on the product page

This allows you to adjust the number of Products You May Like when on the Product Level of your cart. These are products that are similar to the product selected. 


        3. Enable email to a friend feature

This allows a customer to send a link to any product via email to a friend.


Category Image Settings

        1. Category image size, pixels

This setting allows you to set a default size for your Category Images by pixel.


        2. Category image type

This setting allows you to set how Category Images are displayed. Options include Proportionate (Default Setting) or Square.


        3. Category image resize rule

This setting allows you to resize Category Images to the default Category Image Size determined in the above setting.

Note: Making smaller images larger can cause them to appear blurry.


        4. Category thumbnail image size, pixels 

This setting allows you to set a default size for your Category Thumbnail Images by pixel.

        5. Category thumbnail image type

This setting allows you to set how Category Thumbnail Images are displayed. Options include Proportionate (Default Setting) or Square.

        6. Category thumbnail image resize rule

This setting allows you to resize Category Thumbnail Images to the default Category Thumbnail Image Size determined in the above setting. Options Include: Category thumbnail image resize rule options

Note: Making smaller images larger can cause them to appear blurry.


Product Image Settings

        1. Product preview size, pixels

This setting allows you to set a default size for your Product Image(s) by pixel.

        2. Product preview type

This setting allows you to set how Product Images are displayed. Options include Proportionate (Default Setting), Square, or Manual Upload.

This setting allows you to resize Product Images to the default Product Image Size determined in the above setting.
