How to Setup a Google Analytics Account.


Before adding Google Analytics to your website, you will need to setup a Google account. Follow these steps:


Go to http://www.google.com/analytics/.


Click 'create an account'.



If you already have a Google account (for email or Google+ for example), sign it with it here. If not, click Create an account.



If you selected to create an account, fill out the fields on the Create your Google Account page.



Once the account is created, or you've logged into your existing account, click 'Sign up'.



Fill out your Account Name, Website Name (can be the same), and Website URL. Choose your Industry Category and Reporting Time Zone.



Select your Data Sharing Settings. Click Get Tracking ID.



Choose your Country and click I Accept on the Google Analytics Terms of Service Agreement.



You will now arrive at your Google Analytics Administration page. You will want to copy the Tracking ID listed on the page. You will need to copy it in your PinnacleCart.



You could also copy the full Tracking Code and paste this into PinnacleCart. So you can either copy just the tracking ID and place it into the Google Analytics code that pre-exists in PinnacleCart, or replace all of the code in PinnacleCart with the code they present here. The code is below:

How to Add Google Analytics Into PinnacleCart.


To setup Google Analytics in PinnacleCart, click Marketing > Google Tools > click Enable Google Analytics, and if you'd like click Enable Google Analytic conversions.


In the Analytics Tracking Code text area, either delete all of the code and paste in all of the code copied from Analytics, or remove the Analytics ID and place the one from your account. Click Save.
