Google Analytics enables you to track the visitors to your store, conversions, referrals and generates reports that can help you with your sales and marketing efforts.
Google Analytics is free to use and we recommend it for all store owners.
Getting a Google account.
To use Google Analytics you will need to have a Google Account. If you have Gmail, you can use that. If not, click here to create your Google Account.
Activating Google Analytics.
While logged into your Google Account, search for "Google Analytics" and begin the process within Google of setting up the account. At the end of the process you will be provided with a snippet of code to be placed on your site.
Instead of using that entire snippet of code, simple copy the UA number found within the snippet. It will look like this “UA-XXXXX-X”. This UA number is unique to your website and is used by Google for tracking.
Activating Google Analytics within Pinnacle Cart.
Login to your Pinnacle Cart admin area > Marketing > Google Tools.
Click on Enable Google Analytics and add in the UA code you retrieved from your Google Account area. Remove the example UA code and replace it with your UA code.
Be sure to only change the UA code.
Click "Save" on the top right of the page. You have now activated Google Analytics for your store.
